Whenever you’re looking for a solution, you are feeling positive emotion - and whenever you’re looking at a problem, you’re feeling negative emotion, which, as you know, never gets us anywhere. But once you take the focus off yourself and your wants, and instead turn it toward how getting what you want might also benefit someone else, well then, you can’t help but succeed.

How can we ever grow if we avoid everything that might hurt us?

What I want, more than anything, is to reach the end of my life with a solid before-and-after picture to reflect back on. To show I did the absolute best that I could with what I was given and that my life was well-lived.

I wonder why the promises I make to other people always become more important than the ones I make to myself.

The only thing a person can ever really do is keep moving forward.

Fate is nothing but the deeds committed in a prior state of existence.

The weird thing about saying good-bye is that it never gets any easier.

You have to pick your battles wisely, because it just takes so much energy to be angry. Energy that you can put to better use.
